Let me know which method works for you!
I CHALLENGE You to try each method each day this week.
Method 1:
take 4- 6 10min breaks throughout the day.
*I feel that this one is the easiest. I write 5 min during each of my two 15min breaks at work a 10 min during my lunch. the rest after i get home or before work
Method 2:
You can either write your word count after each step of check it off that you completed.
write for 20 min: Write 421 words: Write to the nearest thousand: write for 15 min: Write 200 words: write for 5 min: Write 285 words: write for 30 min: Roll a die, multiply your roll by 220: Write 500 words: write for 10 min: Write to the nearest thousand: Write 100 words:
*This one is a little harder but You must strive to complete as many as possible!
Method 3:
Roll dice, multiply number by the last two digits of your current word count
Write for 15min
Write 150 words
Roll dice and multiply that number by 120
Write to the nearest thousand
Write for 5 min
Write 352 words
Method 4:
Write 100 words then add/write 20 words
Write 200 words then add/write 10 words
Write 150 words then add/write 50 words
Write 122 words then add/write 25 words
Write 220 words then add/write 63 words
*each step does not have to be consecutive
Method 5:
Write a scene that makes your character sad, put aside
Write a scene that shows that your character has a good/bad side
Write a scene that shows the character finding something they lost
Write a scene between the Main character and the secondary character
Write a scene from your story
that makes YOU angry.
This is the calendar I made to keep track of me writing. Its my personal "Did you write today?" reminder.
